John Postle is a professional mining engineer (University of British Columbia) with a Master's degree in Earth Sciences (Stanford University, California) and has more than 30 years of experience in the mining sector worldwide

John Postle is a Consulting Mining Engineer. He founded Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. in 1985, and has been a Principal of the company until 2002 and a consultant until his retirement in November 2015. He provided mining consulting services to a number of international financial institutions, corporations, utilities and law firms. Prior to the formation of RPA, he was a Senior Associate with David S. Robertson and Associates. He worked for several years for two major mining companies (Falconbridge and Cominco) at a number of open pit and underground operations in both operating and planning capacities, and is a Past Chairman of the Mineral Economics Committee of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM). In 1991 he was appointed a Distinguished Lecturer for the CIM, and in 1997 he was the co-recipient of the Robert Elver Award. Mr. Postle has been Co-Chairman of a CIM Standing Committee on Ore Reserve Definitions, and has been interviewed on national television on Ore Reserve issues.
He wrote several publications and was invited to make numerous presentations on acute mining topics.
